Sealoflex ULTIMA is a modified polyurethane liquid-applied roof waterproofing system comprising:

• Sealoflex Ultima Waterproof Coating — a single-part, moisture-triggered modified polyurethane waterproofing coating
• Sealoflex Ultima Standard Reinforcing Fabric — a 110 g·m-2 fine polyester mesh for system reinforcement
• Sealoflex Ultima Bitumen Primer — for the preparation of bitumen membranes and asphalt prior to the application of the system
• Sealoflex Ultima EP1 Primer — for the preparation of timber substrates prior to the application of the system
• Pyrobar and TA Underlays — self-adhesive/heat-activated, polyester-reinforced, styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS)-modified bitumen membranes for use as a carrier membrane over insulation boards
• Sealoflex Ultima Quartz — kiln dried silica, granule size 0.4 to 0.8 mm for use as an anti-skid additive in areas of pedestrian traffic
• Sealoflex Ultima Wearcoat Clear — used to seal the applied Sealoflex Ultima Quartz.

The coating has the nominal characteristics of:
specific gravity (g·cm–3) 1.44
colour mid grey.

Approved for use on


Flat Roofs Pitched Roofs 

Sealoflex ULTIMA is satisfactory for use as a roof waterproofing system on new and existing flat and pitched roofs with limited pedestrian access.

The system, when used in combination with Sealoflex Ultima Quartz, is also satisfactory for use on flat roofs with limited pedestrian access.

Substrate


Concrete Insulation Boards Mastic Asphalt Metal Reinforced Bituminous Membranes Thermazone Elastoboard Timber 

The system is for use on the following substrates:
• concrete
• mastic asphalt
• metal
• reinforced bitumen membranes (including mineral surfaced)
• wood
• Thermazone Elastoboard H
• insulation boards in conjunction with a carrier membrane.

Durability


10 Years 

Under normal service conditions, the system will achieve a life expectancy of at least 10 years.

Installation Requirements


The system should only be installed by contractors who have been trained and approved by the Certificate holder.

Fire Safety


In the opinion of the BBA, a system comprising an 18 mm plywood substrate primed with Icopal SA Primer, Micoral SK VCL, a polyurethane adhesive, 120 mm thick polyisocyanurate insulation board, Pyrobar Underlay primed with Sealoflex Ultima Bitumen Primer, and the Sealoflex ULTIMA system
with a 165 g·m–2 polyester fleece(1), can be classified as BROOF(t4) in accordance with BS EN 13501-5 : 2016. (1) Fire test report reference 301767, conducted by BRE Global. Report available from the Certificate holder.

The designation of other specifications should be confirmed by reference to the requirements of the documents supporting the national Building Regulations.
